Senior surveyor or Associate Director investment valuation affordable housing

This role is for a leading property consultancy to work within their market leading affordable housing division. My client is considering candidates at senior surveyor and associate director level. The role is paying up to £55k + car allowance + bonus + benefits etc. Client has said that they will consider candidates who are currently not working in the affordable market if they have a genuine interest and have a suitable skill set.

The role

  • leading valuation projects
  • helping to sustain and build both existing and new client relationships through the provision of outstanding advice and service
  • coaching, development and management of junior colleagues
  • creating and validating complex valuation models
  • undertaking client meetings, often involving the presentation of complex analysis
  • producing professional reports, written to a very high standard of accuracy and clarity
  • creating and overseeing development appraisals using Argus Developer
  • new business generation with appropriate support
  • working collaboratively with colleagues from a wide range of other, complementary departments (especially residential building surveying) within the business and possibly with external, specialist consultants.

What you need

  • Strong modelling skills, using both Excel and Argus Developer
  • Sound understanding of the cashflow method of valuation or investment appraisals
  • Sound understanding of residential development
  • MRICS & RICS registered valuer
  • Demonstrable understanding of, and keen interest in, the residential and affordable housing sectors.
