Planning & Document Coordinators - Central London

Our client is a reputable, fast growing housing specialist and they are looking to expand their Residential Planning team. As part of this expansion, they are looking to hire 2 x Planning & Document Coordinators to their team.

The Planning & Document Controller role is pivotal to the Delivery Team’s operations by ensuring all planning documents are chased and we have updates on status and progress for the project files on the in-house drive and system. Up to date planning information is key for a number of elements of the business including being able to sign off and PC homes, for supporting charging and for good record keeping purposes to support the business.

The candidate requires good administration and communication skills to work across both internal teams and externally with Employers Agents, developers and Local Authorities.

Key duties include:

  • Closely liaise with internal colleagues across the business, developers and local authorities relating to planning and updating planning progress.
  • Review planning compliance by the company's developer partners for residential development sites to ensure they are on track for the company to accept new homes into the business.
  • Support the documentation required for the various teams to support project sign off’s.
  • Manage reporting to identify gaps or lack of progress with planning for sites and highlight to Planning and Documents Manager.
  • Develop a strong relationship with existing internal and external clients.
  • Management and maintenance of key documentation and project files using the company's in-house database systems relating to planning consents.
  • Reviewing keys documents to verify they contain the correct information necessary before saving on file.
  • Undertake any reasonable request from management in a timely fashion.

About you:

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe PDF Reader
  • Previous experience as a Planning Secretary/Administrator.
  • Experience liaising with local authorities and developers is essential.
  • Experience in property/housing is essential.
  • The ability to manage your own workload in accordance with various team priorities.
  • A level of focus and attention to detail.
  • A Team Player.
  • Take ownership for actions and is accountable for delivering outcomes.
  • Able to demonstrate an organised and systematic way of working with strong
    administration and record keeping.
  • Able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy workload.
  • Welcomes and is positive about change and improving services.
  • Positive, enthusiastic and energetic.

Qualifications:

GCSE in English and Maths - B or above.

Relevant degree in housing/property or Real Estate - highly desirable but not essential.

Salary:

£27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)

This role is working from home and equipment will be provided. You may be required to come into the London office for meetings with the team occasionally.
