It’s an exciting and challenging environment and we’re looking for property professionals to join our experienced and talented team as we work to play our part in delivering a Gravesham to be proud of.

The role- the Property Department is responsible for managing the Council’s diverse and substantial commercial property portfolio and are seeking a qualified surveyor to join the team.  The Estates and Valuation Manager will enjoy a varied workload which will include a key role in the Council’s regeneration projects as well as all aspects of commercial property management.

The post involves travel across the Borough for which an essential car user allowance is payable (included in above package).

Essential qualifications/experience- The Estates and Valuation Manager will be expected to have a minimum of 3 years post RICS qualification experience and either be or be eligible to join the RICS Valuers’ Accreditation Scheme.  Experience of commercial property management and valuations is essential as are excellent negotiating, influencing and communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative, within deadlines and to procedures.

Desirable qualifications/experience- Local Authority experience is desirable but not essential.

We have an occupational health service provided by East Kent Hospitals University Foundation NHS Trust. The service is delivered by a team of health professionals who specialise in occupational medicine and deal with the relationship between your work and your health. Occupational Health also works with us to resolve any issues in the workplace and also to ensure that well-being at work is maintained.
