Macdonald & Company have been retained by this long established client to recruit a Facilities Manager as part of a wider property team. Reporting to the Head of Property and will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance resource is managed in accordance with health and safety, industry recognised and best practice standards.  You will lead the maintenance team and work collaboratively with the wider department, key stakeholders, external contractors and third parties to achieve successful outcomes.
 
As a site which operates year-round, a particular focus of this role is to balance delivery of planned maintenance activities alongside providing reactive support by ensuring resources are appropriate allocated and managed and that workloads are effectively planned. A key objective of this role is to move from reactive to planned maintenance management ensuring resources are appropriately deployed so that objectives are successfully achieved.
 
You will have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in corporate facilities management environment, be conversant with procurement and contractual standards, have the ability to develop and deliver a 10-year planned preventative maintenance programme ensuring all activities are effectively programmed, costed and deliverables monitored throughout. You will have experience in the implementation and management of CAFM, ensuring it provides requisite functionality including software interfaces to support maintenance and wider business activities. This is a unique and challenging role and you will be expected to work occasional weekends and evenings throughout the year, for which time in lieu will be provided.
