Development Manager - Design Led Mixed Use Schemes

Privately owned, Opportunistic Property Company are looking for a bright and credible Development Manager who can demonstrate a huge passion for property and the built world. They have a mixed use sector in London and the South, and focus on producing design led buildings that fit their locations. They do a lot of development and refurbishment, and have an inhouse construction and planning team.

They now need a MRICS qualified Development Surveyor / Manager with existing client side experience to work across various schemes, helping push things through planning and driving income from new development sites by working closely with designers, architects and planners, as well as researching local markets to ensure upcoming developments are best in class for the area. The role involves analysing best use classes and then producing detailed feasibilities and appraisals on owned and potential sites -  researching ERV’s and re-sale values and working with the construction team to factor in build costs

You'll also work closely with external consultants and network with various Hotel Operators, Retailers, Care Home Operators, possible Office Tenants to ensure their schemes are marketed accordingly and seen as highly desirable buildings. Their product is all high end, and they are passionate about delivering architecturally interesting schemes, utilising technology and ensuring their schemes are best in class for the local area. It’s a small team so there are opportunities to also help source new investments/developments and progress through the ranks.

They offer a great opportunity to carry out a very varied role in a fast paced environment, and join a growing team. Candidates must be MRICS, and will ideally have 2 – 5 years PQE, including working clientside in a Development role. Candidates must have experience of mixed use assets with a GDV of £5m-£50m – be driven, hungry to succeed, focussed/determined and very organised.
