Senior Planning Consultant - Central London

My client is a highly reputable property consultancy that is focused on providing the best working environment for their employees, delivering excellent service to clients and or promoting development and progression across the business.

They are looking to hire a Senior Planning Consultant to join their busy Planning & Development team. The Planning & Development team is one of the most respected in the country.

They are looking for someone with strong academic background and technical skills, coupled with demonstrable track record in providing the best service to clients either in the private sector, consultancy environment or equivalent.

As a Senior Planning Consultant, you will work with Partners and other members of the team for and on behalf of clients whose properties are located mainly (but not solely) in Central London, dealing predominantly with planning officers responsible for Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, Southwark, Islington and Lambeth.

You will be involved in diverse range of high-profile projects for a variety of clients which will be a mix across private, student accommodation and the education sector in addition to partnering with respected developers.

Ideal attributes and skills:

  • MRTPI-qualified with a proven academic and career record to date demonstrating progression, the ability to successfully deal with clients at all levels and a passion for delivering high quality work and excellent customer service.
  • Excellent business and commercial acumen, networking skills and communication skills
  • creative thinker and problem solver.
  • The ability to establish effective relationships at all levels internal and external.
  • A good personal yet professional manner, calm and authoritative, particularly when dealing with clients, but also internally, e.g. when supervising more trainee level staff.
  • The ability to use knowledge and information to identify and develop creative but practical commercial opportunities on the client’s behalf.

Salary/remuneration:

Up to £45,000 (dependant on experience) and an additional £4,000 car allowance if you drive + fantastic benefits.

The working hours are standard Mon - Fri but as a business they offer flexible working arrangements.
