Asset Manager - Retail Warehousing

Our client is a leading specialist In the pan-European, regional, multi-let real estate market. The team manages over circa 620 retail, office and industrial properties with a value of circa €4 billion.

They havea  value-oriented investment philosophy combined with an active, hands-on asset management platform. The in-house, on the ground real estate experience available to the business through its pan­ European platform together with its market leading information and data management systems, ensure they maximise value.

Over the last 3 years they have invested in over £500m of retail warehouse assets and are continuing to grow the asset class and consequently needs to further the depth of experience in the team.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day asset management of principally retail and trade counter properties, including lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, lease expiries, surrenders, forfeitures

• Managing third party services: letting agents, solicitors, property managers and building surveyors

• Developing and implementing value-add asset management strategies, including development appraisals

• Client and internal reporting

• Implementing and overseeing refurbishment programmes and asset repositioning

Skills

• MRICS and ideally 0-5 years PQE

• Commercial acumen

• Working knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation

• Interest in retail market and retailer performance

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Dedicated work ethic

• Advanced MS Office skills

• Ability to deliver value-add across a variety of real estate asset classes, preferably with retail warehouse experience

• Articulate and numerate with good analytical skills

• Motivated with rigorous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities simultaneously

• Previous asset management experience is not essential

• Experience in managing tenants

• Ability to travel to visit assets
