Stockport is an ambitious Borough implementing a complex and exciting transformational programme to radically reshape service delivery, collaborating with key strategic public sector partners to provide exceptional services to all our communities.  Working with the Cabinet, the senior leadership team and key partners, this is your opportunity to contribute to and shape our inspiring vision and improve opportunities and outcomes for the Borough’s residents. 
In this role you will provide strategic leadership of the Councils corporate estate and the wider Strategic Estates Group for Stockport, covering all key strategic public sector partners. This will include:
  • corporate asset management for the portfolio including a complex and expansive investment estate, with an estimated value of £170m and an annual rent roll of £16m
  • delivering the critical Estates services function for the Council’s property portfolio with a value in excess of £1.8bn including key valuations
  • leading on a number of development projects, supporting the delivery of regeneration projects
  • leading the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Asset Management Plan encompassing a range of projects including major refurbishment, rebuilding and new build projects, with delivery of a capital programme of around £100m.
You will be a highly credible and exceptional leader with a consistent record of achievement able to lead the service to deliver innovative solutions in order to meet the Council’s corporate asset management plan and ensure low carbon efficiency across the large property portfolio.
You should have extensive experience of leadership and management at a strategic level in a complex and multi-functional public sector environment, working and providing advice in a political context at a senior level.
