Client-side Development Project Manager with International Developer - Birmingham
Our client is a leading developer looking to grow their Birmingham-based team working on a multi-million landmark urban regeneration scheme.
This mixed-use development is made up of residential, commercial, retail and cultural assets and will deliver a new benchmark for socio-economic benefits for existing communities, via physical transformation.
Remuneration:
£55,000 - £75,000 + leading benefits package + car allowance
The Development Project Manager (DPM) will be responsible for and accountable for the scheme within the first phase and will be a critical part of the project team. You will ensure the team works in a collaborative way including joint venture partners and capital partners to 'create value'. You will be responsible for safety, design, time and cost. You will be working through all project stages from Stage 0 and will be the ultimate owner of the design and cost plan process in conversion as well as responsible for establishing the project conversion programme. Your responsibilities will also include Procurement Strategy, managing client project expectations, support the Development objectives and commercial requirements, manage PCSAs and support engagement with the internal team for logistics, buildability and programme advice.
Requirements:
- Have proven experience as a Project / Development Manager through complete project life-cycle (inc. Stage 0-3)
- Have proven experience of master planning and project managing from post-acquisition onwards
- Team player and build effective team relationships
- Empower a team to maximise their effectiveness
- Excellent communication oral and written
- Have the ability to encourage and explain company strategies, plans and initiatives
- Understand internal and external client or stakeholder needs
- Maintain a balance between the interest of the stakeholder and organisation
- Uncompromisingly drive safe practice in the workplace and minimises risk
- Fully understand the relevance of sustainability
- Respects the needs of a diverse workforce
