Job Details
Clientside Investment / Asset Management role working for a Global Investment Management firm. They are looking for a 6 months – 2 years PQE candidate to work on very active pension fund mandates, and the role involves the full range of Investment activities, including initial Due Diligence, Underwriting, preparing Investment Committee documents, through to pre purchase Due Diligence. It also involved hands on value creation work through implementing and delivering Asset Management. They can teach the asset management part of the role, but need someone who has either worked as part of a Capital Markets team or a Commercial Valuations team with a lot of commercial acumen. They offer fantastic and quick career progression, and the chance to learn from leading names in the Investment Management market.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in asset managing a variety of property types. This would include both identifying and implementing initiatives, including refurbishment and repositioning, leasing, lease restructures, rent reviews etc.
- Help source and appraise potential acquisitions. This would include initial due diligence and financial underwriting, preparation of investment committee documentation and once an acquisition is agreed, assisting with all aspects of pre-purchase due diligence and closing.
- Assist in the timely production of all aspects of reporting and presentations – Client, Investment Committee, Portfolio Oversight and MSCI.
Requirements
- Finance/investment/real estate background
- MRICS with a minimum of 6 months post qualification experience, or equivalent
- Strong academic background with good attention to detail
- Good understanding of financial modelling and valuation methodology (advanced excel, Argus/Circle skills required)
- Asset management, investment sourcing and transactional experience all very beneficial
- Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
