If you’re looking to join an established property team, where you can put your creative spin on things then this Local Authority could be one worth exploring. I have worked with this particular Council for years and can say that everyone I’ve placed there has found it very rewarding so I’m confident you will too.

Even as Director of Property, you’ll be given the opportunity to work flexibly from home up to 3 days a week. You’ll be located on a well-known coastal town, which is well connected to London. Their portfolio is rich heritage sites, well-known beachside towns, which will make lunch time walks a breath of fresh air.

You’ll be responsible for the Council’s property function, which includes asset and facilities management. If you’ve worked in Local Government before, you’ll understand the mechanics of what this role involved such as costs, maximising council income through assets and land and achieving best value through acquisitions and disposals.

Ideally you’ve worked in the public sector before but if you haven’t it’s still worth applying for this role so that we can discuss it further. It’s preferred if you’re MRICS but if you’ve managed teams in a similar capacity, please send in an application!
