Are you tired of being Ferrari quality on a Fiat salary?

Maybe you’re currently a prisoner in your own home, working more hours than ever, cooped up in that spare bedroom you never got around to decorating.

Have you considered working for a Local Authority in the Midlands?

37 hours a week, minimum 6 month contract, flexible work-life balance and continued hybrid working.

A working environment where everyone is on the same page, working to provide a service, not just eyes on the bottom line.

Not to mention you will be close enough to the countryside and various national parks so having a staycation every other weekend will be effortless.

Sounds refreshing, doesn’t it…

The role in the nutshell:

Would you feel comfortable leading a Councils property department, provide senior level leadership, manage projects, staff as well as external contractors.

Review and implement processes, be responsible for identifying and securing a flow of major capital receipts and generating new revenue streams.

Creating strategies to restructure, develop, expand, and manage the entire commercial property portfolio – both operational and non-operational sites.

Identify and deliver property and land acquisitions & disposals within prescribed timescales.

Help fund the Council’s capital programme needs, dealing and liaising as necessary with the Cabinet, Executive Directors, Service Departments and the community.

The next steps:

I’m sure you understand the ins and outs of an asset management role as you have done it all before.
