Investment Associate - Value Add/Opportunistic Investment Manager

Our client is a boutique real estate investment manager with a successful track record in value add/opportunistic investment and development. They combine the principles of institutional management with a dynamic and entrepreneurial approach. Due to growth, they are seeking an Investment Associate to work part of the Acquisitions team to assist in all aspects of the acquisitions process, as well as taking responsibility for leading transactions. The role will be focussed on deploying equity on behalf of our clients funds and JVs, across commercial asset classes, with a current focus on, but not limited to industrial, office and life sciences.

Responsibilities:

• Utilising an existing contact network to source appropriate opportunities.
• Managing multiple transactions and due diligence workstreams in parallel, to a high standard, through to closing.
• Financial appraisals of investments, in conjunction with the Investment Management team.
• Assessing investment risk through research, data, inspections and understanding of sector trends.
• Managing the deal pipeline, ensure progress is communicated appropriately.
• Co-ordinating with the Asset Management and Investment Management teams to ensure an efficient acquisitions process.
• Taking responsibility for the preparation of Investment Committee papers.

Requirements:

• Clientside acquisition experience or investment agency experience from a consultancy.
• A minimum of three years and a maximum of seven years of investment experience.
• An understanding of the UK investment landscape.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly numerate with a good working knowledge and understanding of financial appraisals.
• Diligent worker with a strong attention to detail.
• Team player with a desire to learn.
• Market facing, with an existing network and a desire to grow further.
