Job Details
Investment Analyst required for privately owned real estate Company that focuses on the residential and mixed-use sectors across London and the wider UK.
The business has a strong mix of opportunities including operational hotel keys across two assets; hotel keys in development across five schemes n planning and development and a significant number of alternatives in planning, across several schemes in London and a scheme in Manchester.
ROLE:
•financial modelling of real estate assets, as well as work with other members of the Groups Investment team, supporting deal origination, execution and other real estate activities; including but not limited to disposals, debt finance, corporate finance and development management.
•Investment/transaction management, collating market information and preparing internal and external facing documentation.
•Financial modelling of real estate and associated assets – underwriting, project
cashflows, returns analysis and sensitivities.
• Identified by the Group and assist in analysis which enables quick turnaround of investment underwrites.
• Ownership of collating pre-bid due diligence work including macro and micro market
analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of key market data sources including trackers and schedules.
• Support transactional due diligence working with teams on acquisitions, disposals, debt
finance, ongoing asset and development management.
• Support preparing investment committee papers for Executive, Board and external (JV
partners) purposes.
Credentials
To be successful in this exciting new role, the following skills, experience, and qualifications will be
required:
• Educated to degree level; ideally in a real estate subject. Additional Investment
qualifications are advantageous.
• Ideally, 1-2 years PQE experience within a real estate consultancy, investment fund
management or property company background.
• MRICS is not essential but is preferred.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• A good understanding of methods of real estate valuation.
• Appetite to develop further knowledge of capital investment in operational assets and new
development projects.
• Ability to work independently and within a small team as appropriate.
• Self-motivated and energetic individual with a positive pro-active attitude.
• A desire to build a network of industry contacts within their peer group.
• Fully proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications (excel, word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
