Quantity Surveyor, Leading Residential Developer

Excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable award-winning plc residential developer.

Key Responsibilities 

• Reporting to the Commercial Manager while working alongside an existing team of proven commercial professionals, your duties will include: 
• Preparation and pricing of sales extras and incentives. 
• Preparation of documents to send out for tender to subcontractors and/or material suppliers. 
• To analyse tenders and recommend to management preferred subcontractors/suppliers. 
• Prepare budgets and monitor through to completion of works.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to place orders and to cover variations. 
• Cost to value reconciliations. 
• Prepare interim valuations and payments to agree procedures. 
• Attend subcontractor/site meetings. 
• Carry out bank valuations/materials on site assessments. 
• Ensure all documentation over invoices and subcontractor payments are completed and authorised correctly. 
• Monitor maintenance cost/report weekly, monthly and quarterly against budget plant/material acquisitions competitively and efficiently.
• Liaising with all the stakeholders and the members of the project team, including construction, technical, sales, finance, customer service and estate management colleagues.
• Attending Design Team Meetings as required
• Valuing customer change variations.
• Promote and act in accordance with group values.

Ideal Candidate:

• You will either be an existing Quantity Surveyor or an ambitious Junior or Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step within a prestigious residential developer.
• Experience working for a specialist contractor with expertise in joinery / or dry lining.
• The ideal candidate will be eager, hardworking and a good team player with a keen interest in high-end residential-led projects.
• Ideally Quantity Surveying or Construction degree level educated with 2+ years industry experience

Salary:  45,000.00 – 57,000.00
