Senior Investment Manager sought by a very well capitalised Developer and Owner of mixed use real estate. They are looking for an experienced Investment professional to focus on mixed use standing assets in London that combine retail, commercial and restaurant uses, with residential uppers. The wider business have a large Residential portfolio and the focus of this team is to continue to expand their exposure to highly desirable London locations, whilst diversifying their risk across different use classes. They have a lot of capital to deploy, with a current AUM of this type of asset of circa £70M, but with plans to almost triple this over the next 24 months.

 

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new opportunities off-market and on-market
  • Undertaking detailed analysis and underwriting of all new pipeline deals, identifying key risks and opportunities
  • Preparing investment materials for the CIO and the  Executive Committee, including executive summaries pre-bid, investment committee papers and bank presentations
  • Leading negotiations and deal structure with vendor
  • Cradle to grave full responsibility on the execution of transactions, managing the full asset, legal, technical and financial due diligence
  • Management and oversight of the Investment Support team if required on a new acquisition
  • Presenting to Senior Management on new acquisitions

 

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of the central London residential and commercial real estate market
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role – some of these must have been clientside
  • Broad network of agents and vendors with access to pipeline
  • Significant experience in acquisitions, managing and taking full responsibility for due diligence processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness, with the focus to fully review leases, legal documents and surveys
  • Excellent financial modelling skills, with the ability to build and audit financial models used for acquisitions
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills, with the ability to produce institutional quality materials
  • Experience of effectively managing a team
