Job Details
The ideal candidate will have previous Commercial agency experience, although their agency work is far from conventional it’s a great company with a great working environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Consultancy
- Meeting with clients to understand their real estate issues and to agree the scope of work for projects
- Undertaking internet research into trends influencing the demand for real estate from R&D businesses
- Reviewing and summarising real estate data for the sector across the UK (and on occasion from overseas) for inclusion in reports
- Assisting in the carrying out of primary research
- Assisting in the preparation of reports including writing content and sourcing data and graphs
- Putting together presentations to summarise consultancy outputs
Investment/Development Agency- Sourcing opportunities for clients
- Inspecting opportunities
- Carrying out due diligence – lease reading, survey report reading, tenant covenant review, market position, area checking etc
- Compiling and setting out comparable evidence
- Preparing development appraisals (using Argus) and where necessary investment appraisals (Argus/Excel) to advise clients on bidding levels
- Preparing purchase reports and working with clients to achieve completions
Letting Agency- Advising on the specification of R&D real estate to be presented to the market
- Sourcing occupiers through the research and key stakeholder base
- Advising on market terms for space
- Negotiating heads of terms with tenants
£45,000-£55,000 DOE
Performance related bonuses, a car allowance or company car, a pension plan, private health care, 25 or 28 days holiday dependant on the level you join us at, and the privilege of enjoying our perks at work scheme.
A policy of hybrid working has been adopted which will include a minimum of 2 or 3 days being principally office based.
Requirements:
Our client is looking to appoint a qualified chartered surveyor with experience gained in commercial property, ideally with a development and agency bias, and looking for significant scope in creativity and personal development. The preferred candidate will need to demonstrate natural curiosity, willingness to learn and try new skills, be an excellent communicator and have a desire to play a full part in a fast growing business - evolving services and an approach that helps the team to deliver to client objectives.
