Investment Associate - Residential PE Firm

Experienced Investment / Transactions Associate sought by a PRS / BTR platform who are very well capitalised and acquisitive, and have an ambitious growth target over the next few years. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious real estate professional to join a rapidly growing business. The role involves working closely with an Investment Manager on acquisitions, with a focus on the execution of new deals. The business is focused on building a high-quality portfolio of homes in the UK helping to meet market demand for high quality and flexible housing options. The business plan includes a significant proportion of new build assets, so the role is particularly focused on the execution side of the acquisitions process including negotiating Heads of Terms in a timely and efficient manner, and progressing deals through to exchange of contracts.

Key duties include:

• Liaising with developers/agents/housebuilders to ensure timely and accurate completion of the underwriting and due diligence of specific investment opportunities
• Supervising junior team members in undertaking accurate and thorough research into local market evidence in support of investment appraisals
• Managing and using financial models to support the acquisition programme
• Supervising the preparation of appraisals and reports for investment committees
• Contributing to the growth of the acquisitions pipeline and incoming opportunities including sourcing new opportunities
• Contributing to the overall acquisition strategy and achieving HOTS and Exchange targets
• Proactively managing your offer pipeline, ensuring progress is communicated appropriately, and regular feedback is requested on outstanding offers
• Managing multiple schemes in parallel to a high standard

Key Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree (min 2:1)
• Previous experience in a real estate acquisitions position with significant exposure to residential transactions
• Excellent Excel skills and experience of deal underwriting
• Be proactive in nature with the ability to manage a large number of priorities in parallel while meeting continuous deadlines
• A keenness to learn and actively participate in a dynamic and constantly adapting environment
• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in written English
