Park Avenue are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Asset Manager for one our Local Authority clients in Essex.

The role will be based around providing effective management of the Councils investment portfolio.

Summary of duties in the role

  • Oversee the management of the Council's property investment portfolio.
  • Identify and analyse new property investment opportunities.
  • Manage the annual planned maintenance programme to repair and maintain the Council's property assets.
  • Manage the annual planned maintenance programme to repair and maintain unadopted roads and non-operational car parks.
  • Manage the process to repair and maintain boundary walls to closed churchyards.
  • Professional advice and support to internal services and corporately.
  • Prepare and submit capital bids.
  • Procure and manage external consultants.
  • Dispose of the Land
  • Disposal of vacant residential development sites.
  • Manage key development projects

What you need

  • RICS qualified surveyor, with proven post qualification experience
  • At least 2 years experience working in a Local Authority
  • Experience of asset management, investment and operational portfolio management
  • Good knowledge of property law, statutory frameworks and guidelines
