Your new role

As the Commercial Property Surveyor you will be involved in a wide range of General Practice Surveying duties across the Council’s extensive and diverse property and land holdings. Working in a small but growing team and supported by a team leader, you will be involved with landlord and tenant matters including lease renewals, rent reviews, developments, acquisitions and disposals, lettings, landlord’s consents and any other property transactions as required. You will also be involved with undertaking valuations for a range of purposes including asset and insurance valuations, rental valuations, and valuations for acquisitions and disposals.  This is a general practice role and you will be expected to apply your skills and experience to a range of situations as required.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful for this role you will need a RICS accredited degree and have gained experience working within property. You should have experience of landlord and tenant matters and valuations. Strong communication and IT skills are essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate you can work collaboratively, build strong relationships, show place leadership and act commercially. You will need a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
