Asset & Operations Manager

Viewranks Estates is a family-owned property company based in West London. The job of Asset and Operations Manager presents an opportunity for an individual to experience a varied roll in running a property investment and development company in South West London.

Our core business has been built up over the past 70 years by acquiring and holding commercial assets in West London and forms the platform we build upon. Growth is generated through completing asset management initiatives, making selective property acquisitions, completing the business plans for the assets and recycling capital into the next project.

The Asset & Operations Manager (AOM) will be working alongside the Managing Director on a day-to-day basis, to assist in running the business. The role is wide ranging and varies from strategic input down to the day-to-day minutiae of managing the operational side. Aspects include sourcing and acquiring properties, managing external consultants, negations with tenants and suppliers, running planning applications, overseeing construction projects, oversight of H&S and correct corporate processes.  Over time the AOM is expected to develop their own understanding and opinions on issues the Company faces, so that he can meaningfully contribute to the strategic and operational decisions in a considered and critical manner.

Due to the variety of tasks, the AOM should have a flexible mindset and be comfortable using their own initiative when required. The role would suit a practical and ambitious individual with a 'hands-on' attitude. The individual should take satisfaction in seeing a job through to completion in an efficient and high quality manner and be comfortable in managing and directing contractors, consultants and suppliers.  A background in the problem solving areas of asset & property management, building surveying, or project management and quantity surveying should provide a good base level of practical experience that would suit the role.

Over time the role will provide greater levels of responsibility and autonomy to work within the Viewranks team. The opportunity is long term and as the business grows the successful applicant is expected to become a key member of the senior management team.
