How can I get these extra days hear you ask?

Well, become the new Deputy Director of Estates Development (what a title!).

Your day job will be to handle the Capital Works going on at the University, you will oversee a small team of Project Managers handling multi-million-pound projects.

You will be looking at change within the University’s Estates Department through Estates Planning and Capital Development. Stock Condition Works and LTM programmes should be your ‘bread and butter’, along with budgeting and timescale evaluations.

Projects for this role include a mixture of Major and Minor works, focusing on new builds and refurbishments. All are contributing to the 10-year Estates ‘master plan’ & don’t worry, more projects are being added.

You will also be responsible for technical & internal policy matters within Projects, forecasting and feasibility also falls to you, but as it’s already your job, I won’t go on for too long about these…

This is a unique campus, gone are the days where you have to travel miles between sites, now you can walk from the Accommodation Blocks to the gym to the Main University buildings. Here you can really get to know the site and buildings you work on.
