Anticipated that travel to site across Lewes and Eastbourne may be required up to 1 day a week. Homeworking for the remainder of the time.

Join our Property and Asset Management team and be part of an innovative and exciting service focusing on targeting, designing and delivering important commercial developments and ventures; driving revenue income growth for Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Councils and make lasting improvements to our towns.

In your role as an Estate Surveyor within the Property team, you will play a key part in the service, ensuring the Councils’ property portfolios are future-proofed, opportunities are achieved to increase income and the estates are effectively managed to deliver the Councils’ ambitions.

You will provide evidence-based business cases, including valuation advice and due diligence, to support retention, investment, transfer and disposal decisions. You will support estate matters on new developments, enabling them to be delivered effectively and reducing risk for the Councils.

You will be a pro-active, high performing, self-motivated individual with a strategic approach who is able to work under pressure and has experience of working with a varied property portfolio and undertaking commercial negotiations. You will have strong all round communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships within the organisations as well as with external partners and tenants.
