Senior Asset Manager - Multi-Billion Investor / Developer

Owner, Investor and Developer of one of the most extensive and varied portfolio’s in the UK are looking for a Senior Asset Manager to join their very well regarded team. They deliver landmark real estate projects, and are responsible for some of the highest profile investment transactions in the country, so it’s an exciting time to join the team. They are looking for an experienced commercial Asset Manager, ideally with mixed sector experience of Office, Retail and Industrial assets, although would also consider an adaptable single sector specialist who is interested in broadening their skill set and market expertise. The Asset Manager will have accountability for preparation and execution of business plans within their portfolio, with a strong focus on adding and maintaining value throughout the building’s life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Identify, formulate, and implement value-add asset strategies to drive value where possible in context of asset lifecycle. This may include refurbishment/development opportunities,  acquisitions of neighbouring buildings, placemaking, tenant mix, creative income generation strategies, strategic vacant possession/land assembly.
• Review and analyse, with assistance from third party companies, cost effective solutions for portfolio to meet sustainability requirements in line with Fund strategy.
• Lead and manage leasing teams and professional advisors for the effective reduction in vacant units.
• Lead and manage professional teams in relation to completion of rent reviews and lease renewals across the designated portfolio.
• On project works such as refurbishments be responsible for project team selection, appointments and contracts.

Required experience

• MRICS is ideal (although commensurate commercial experience will be considered for exceptional candidates) with circa 6 – 10 years PQE
• Substantial commercial Asset Management experience within a clientside environment
• Solid track record of hands on UK Real Estate Asset Management across a range of sectors particularly Office, Industrial and Retail assets

Required technical skills

• Strong commercial judgement and technical surveying skills with detailed understanding of underlying commercial property dynamics.  
• Comprehensive understanding and experience of asset management of complex real estate projects with operational and financial management and reporting. 
• Strong analytical ability and numeracy skills
• Well-developed understanding of key investment performance drivers.
