My client is a leading Retail business with a large and diverse portfolio within the Midlands and the Northern home counties.
Working in conjunction with the Head of Property & other senior leaders, including the Exec and trading businesses you will create and maintain a robust Asset and property Acquisition/ Disposal strategy.
What you’ll be doing
- Apply long-term thinking and vision to develop and manage property assets with the necessary financial controls and reporting. Proactively manage the existing estate to evolve with customer needs, operational requirements, optimise performance and manage unproductive space through asset management techniques. Develop leading market relationships, to be able to secure and acquire the best sites.
- Minimise property out goings, recover income from tenants and manage the portfolio in a compliant and value enhancing way Build a ‘plan for every asset’ which will be signed off by the trading groups and with the Head of Property Own and management the divestment programme Lead the annual valuation process through an external consultant Be responsible for the preparation and delivery of the Estate Team’s budget and cost centre. Ideally have experience of selecting, integrating and managing an in-house Property Management System
- You will be RICS qualified and 8+ year PQE Proven expertise in developing and executing property management, asset management and acquisitions strategies Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to vary your style to engage others creating loyalty within your own function and build credibility and respect with other functions Experience or interest in reducing the impact of property on the environment. Wealth of experience and strong reputation in the commercial and retail property market with knowledge and significant experience of fundamental theories, principles and concepts in relation to property with in-depth knowledge of property law, contract law and other appropriate legislation. Lead the team pro-actively, provide clear engaging communication, work collaboratively with the senior leaders to deliver a customer centric property service that supports the business strategy for growth Inspire, coach and support team members to encourage their personal development, nurture their aspirations and demonstrate continuous improvement.
Professional qualified you will possess a commercial approach, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
