Senior Finance Manager – residential development

Our client is recognised by the FT1000 fastest growing companies in Europe which focuses on Midlands’s region and its surrounds. Currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager, to undertake all aspects of financial management and reporting function for the company, ensuring all reporting is compliant with accounting standards and relevant legislation. Other responsibilities will also include the contribution to the financial strategy of the business, team management, team building and supporting Chief Financial Officer in developing the internal control policies and procedures. 

Key responsibilities for the new Appointee will include: 

• Key involvement in budgeting & forecasting Providing commentaries and analysis on any variances to budget/forecast, Preparation of Cashflow forecasting and reporting including effective management of potential risk & opportunity, Detailed WIP accounting Board report schedules Coordinating business plan development and assisting in financial modelling to ensure data accuracy Working closely with or Finance / Commercial / Land team, Bank drawdowns and Ad hoc reporting to track progress that aligns with business strategic objectives Taking part in cost variation meetings Managing month end procedures; Monthly Management Accounts and balance sheets Supporting chief Financial Officer and managing of small finance team;

The Successful Candidate will be/have: 

• ACCA or CIMA qualification Residential or Construction experience preferred Knowledge of COINS as an ERP system would be a bonus, however not essential. Good influencing and negotiation skills Proven leadership and staff management skills Excellent communication, relationship management and presentation skills Have a strong attention to detail and an enthusiasm to get the job done Professional advice & guidance on decision making; Performance management processes; Developed business awareness.
