The Office of Government Property is a unit in the Cabinet Office that leads central government and the wider public sector to manage their estate more efficiently and effectively.

In this high profile role, you’ll be instrumental to delivering on our mission to create a Smaller, Better and Greener Civil Estate. It’s a fantastic opportunity to partner with a cross-government network of senior contacts and play a part in the success of major projects. Taking responsibility for several assigned government organisations, you’ll build productive relationships with senior property stakeholders. You’ll oversee and monitor departmental plans for property transactions. Developing a tailored portfolio oversight regime, you’ll work in partnership with your assigned departments to help them transition successfully to a proactive, pipeline-led assurance process. Along the way, you’ll keep senior stakeholders, including civil servants and ministers, updated.

These roles in Glasgow and York are ideal for property, programme management or project delivery professionals. Whatever your background, you’ll be an expert in stakeholder management. You’ll demonstrate the ability to clearly articulate strategy into tangible objectives, and the confidence to turn challenge into consensus. You’ll be ready and able to use strategic asset management plans, business cases, delivery plans and investment plans as required, to make sure activity across your assigned departments contributes to a more efficient estate.
