Cognisant Search has been instructed to appoint a Planner on behalf of a major, national developer and property group. They have very strong financial backing and a long-term horizon, acquiring sites both for their own development and selling into the market.

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the Planning Director you will work within the planning team, managing a portfolio of existing projects and offering advice on new acquisitions
• You will drive projects to a successful resolution and ensure that progress is reported in an accurate and timely manner
• The focus is on a patch that covers the North West, Yorkshire and Midlands and you will develop relationships with the various local authorities and utilise external planning consultants when required

You are a bright planner with circa two year’s experience gained working for another housebuilder, land promoter or in consultancy. You must be RTPI qualified, understand land search, be comfortable with a Local Plan and can undertake a planning appraisal. The business offers very flexible working, and you will manage your own diary/workload. The opportunity or career progression is very good.
