Lease and Rent Review Surveyor – Central London

Our client, a highly regarded residential and commercial independent agent who specialise across the office agency, leasing and retail space alongside the residential space, is looking to hire an experienced Surveyor ASAP.

Following excellent company performance in 2022/2023 and with the exciting news that a Director is setting up another division within the group, it has therefore created the opportunity for someone to come in and have a fast tracked opportunity to a leadership role whilst looking after their current client base as well as growing it.

The role will be diverse, no one day will be the same, as you will be working with occupiers, landlords, tenants and working across a wide range of projects, it's vital to have a positive attitude towards this point.

Job Details:

  • Hands on work day to day
  • Negotiate rent reviews for your clients and seeking the best outcome for your tenants and all stakeholders
  • Advise and Maximise returns for all stakeholders
  • Advise on keeping risks and liabilities down
  • Building and developing key relationships with new & existing clients
  • Experienced in arbitration submissions
  • Business Development/Fee Generation as and when the opportunity arises

Candidate Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified (4 years min)
  • Technical knowledge including relevant legislation and case law
  • Must have experience and detailed knowledge of the central London office market with experience in dealing with retail & leisure considered a bonus but not essential
  • Be personable and well presented with excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Rent Review experience is essential
  • Commercially aware and have strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative whilst being an excellent team player
  • Proven IT skills, including good use of Microsoft office.
  • Well organised, efficient, using initiative and working to tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, flexible and self-motivated with a real desire to deliver excellent customer service
